3-Day Water Treadmill Acclimation Training with Board Package $250
Includes 3 days of Premium board, with up to free-choice hay and daily turnout, weather permitting. Owner to provide sedation, feed and supplements. Over the three days, the horse will be introduced to the water treadmill in stages. Loading and unloading on day one, dry walking on day two and walking with water on day three. Some horses can progress faster, some will take longer for full acclimation. Most horses have never experienced anything like the water treadmill. Some horses can become very anxious with this very new and novel experience if pressed too hard. We go slow, use a lot of positive reinforcement, and break the process down into manageable steps. By not overwhelming the horse, we can keep the experience low-key and positive for the horse. This is the industry-preferred method to give your horse the best possible start.
